The Château des Fontaines is located in the small village of Canet d' Aude, close to the Canal du Midi and only 12 kms from Narbonne,
the city where Charles Trenet was born,on the road of Carcassonne.

After having crossed over the grid of honour,
in front of the constructions reserved in the past to the servants
of the Domain, but also to make and store the wine production, without forgetting the stables, you will find the front steps of honour with its double corbel architecture, that welcome our visitors.

This vast residence of Master build during the XIX° century, was first of all an important viticultural domain, certainly one of the most important winery of the country. It remained until very recently in the same family since the origin of its construction, this family of notables on several generations had preserved the character of the Domain as it was at the very beginning.
Thus, the new owners were set on keeping their mansion's soul untouched, in its greenery setting, without altering its prestigious past; but at the same time, they undertook the luxurious fitting-out needed to turn it into a haven of peace, a place of high-quality life, as well inside the mansion particularly looked after as for the restful outside.

In this place everything is done so that our residents feel at home while having their total independence if they wish it ; so the Château des Fontaines is above all destined to demanding hosts who appreciate top-level residence, refinement and art of living, with the quality of luxurious hotel ,
but also a more personalized and warm reception, at prices strictly studied.

The vast park will seduce you with its hundred-years-old trees, its Mediterranean scents, but especially its water features with a pond surmounted by a rock with a waterfall, without forgetting the jaccuzzi, with in back plan vineyards which are the real secular wealth of this region.
You will not resist, in the pleasure to make a walk accompanied in summer with the singing of cicadas and with the continual gentle hiss of the water which is here omnipresent.

W hat a rare pleasure to have breakfast on the terrace, or still to sample a collation or a " five o clock ", after having been bathing all afternoon long

And why not to offer you the rare and exceptional refinement to sample a cup of Champagne or an aperitif while gazing the setting sun, in the recollection of the leading hosts who had stayed here.
It is without any doubt an image which you will never forget...

By penetrating into the mansion-house by the stair of honour you will be amazed, so much by the care brought to the restoration (see the frescoes of origin), that by the luxury of the decoration or that of the furniture and the objects of art.

All this will maybe contribute to recreate the used evenings in the time, the animation of which was probably insured by the famous opera singer Emma Calvé or the Abbot Saunière or still the Bishop of Carcassonne Mgr Billard. At least the magnificence of the receptions with leading hosts, the clergy, the nobility but also the politicians, the notables and the artists, haunt these exceptional places.

A vast Dining Room will welcome you to take your breakfasts, unless you preferred the terrace or the park, or still a head-to-head in lover in your bedroom.

For those who want to be alone for a while, or to work on their computer, the small Empire Lounge will welcome them.
